Power off the notebook. If the MagSafe power adapter (the power cord) has been connected to the power supply and Mac, then immediately connect it. Simultaneously press on the left Shift, Control, Option key and power button in the built-in keyboard for a while. And then also release all the keys and power button at the same time. After all, just press the power button to turn on the computer. Ok, you've got the SMC of your Macbook reset.
After that, you can find that your MacBook is available to enter the standby mode or wake up as normal once you closed or open the casing. By the way, when you reset the SMC, the LED indicator on the MagSafe power adapter may change status or temporarily closed.
